Reentry Program

The Reentry Program’s mission is to enhance public safety by bringing together the public and private resources of Douglas County to help persons incarcerated successfully re-enter our community as accountable, contributing, self-sufficient and law-abiding citizens.

In 2017 Douglas County, Kansas was selected by SAMHSA as a Best Practice Site

Douglas County, Kansas was an initial pilot site for the National Institute of Correction TJC Project.

Programs at the Douglas County Correctional Facility (DCCF) began when the building opened in 1999

Specialized Programming

Mental Health Programs at the DCCF

USD 497 provides a full-time teacher to the DCCF through a grant. During the past 4 years the “Learning Lab” has averaged 6 High School diploma completions.
