The Douglas County Sheriff's Office is open 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday.
For accident reports that occurred in the Lawrence city limits your can get your report online , otherwise you can submit an on-line form to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.
If you were involved in the accident, incurred property damage, or a relative of someone involved in the accident, the report is free. Come to the Sheriff's Office during regular business hours or call to have a copy mailed or faxed to you.
Attorneys, insurance companies, or anyone not involved in the accident, may obtain a copy of the report by submitting a $5.00 fee.
